St. Patrick's Day with the Murphys!

Patrick and Karen Murphy (in hat and wig) and their Goodyear, Arizona neigbors - John and Jan.
Karen was Deb's "roomie" in Seattle when Deb was working for the Seattle Times and commuting between Seattle and Yakima. Deb and Jeannette met Karen through Jeannette's brother - John. Karen and John were engaged when John tragically and unexpectedly passed away in October, 1999
Jeannette and Deb, weary from an early AM flight tried to join in the festivities. Karen's Corned Beef and Cabbage was the best we ever had!!

Day trip to Sedona, Arizona

Deb took one day off from work to take a day trip to Sedona, Arizona with friends Karen and Patrick and Jeannette. It is beautiful...and has a wonderful chapel where we lit candles for a friend battling cancer.

Sedona Road Trip takes us to AMERICA'S FINEST

We stopped at the quaint Sedona airport for lunch...
...and ran in to these handsome military flyboys. (We watched them land their weapon-heavy helicopters at the airport.)

Jeannette shows her appreciation to our brave men in uniform! They appreciated our praise and words of appreciation. They mentioned that they are used to people accussing them of "wasting tax-payer's money."
Back on the road...with Pat at the wheel.

Playing the tourist...as the day winds down.
